AMBER VALLEY - prediction Conservative Hold, result Labour Gain
A key marginal Derbyshire constituency that the Conservative only won by 500 votes in the general election and, although the local authority does not quite have the same boundaries, it is surprising that Labour has not yet won it.
The Conservative only have a majority of 3 with no third party councillors. Labour should win Ripley ward without any difficulty although UKIP had a significant vote here in the county council elections.
Only Belper South, which they narrowly lost in 2011 and just possibly Belper South, both part of the Mid Derbyshire constituency look potential gains for Labour to win the council.
