Our 2019 Upgrade!

Thursday, January 24, 2019

Hi there

Britpolitics has been growing steadily in the last five years and we've outgrown our current site!

Plus it's 2019 and we need to take stock, get a grip of a few things and well, have a refresh!

Elizabeth Hill-Scott

So, we're restructuring all our 1000+ pages onto a new platform and building new stuff (eeek!).

Even saying that gives me palpitations, but I know it will give us much more flexibility, functionality and (crucially) a better experience for you : )

How will the upgrade help me?

We will be:

  • reviewing all our content and filling in the gaps
  • adding content to support you if you're studying British History at A Level
  • creating a large set of free new learning resources that will help you study, revise and pass exams. They will be in one place
  • creating a new and better home for you to showcase your articles and for visitors to engage with you
  • building a blog where I can post articles about writing tips, motivation and revision techniques
  • adding share links and room for videos and audio files on the subjects you're studying
  • improving navigation and being fit for mobiles and the way you want to look, hear or see stuff
  • making it easier for you to get in touch with us.
I'm guessing I'm asking you to stick with us. We're not a mega-company with dozens of staff, and we want to bring real benefits to you not just a few new pretty images. You also might see a reduction in new content as we focus on the upgrade : (

Now is a great opportunity to share any feedback or ideas you have on design or content to shape the future of Britpolitics. I'd love to hear from you. Send me an email or leave a comment below.

I'll keep you updated how we're getting on.
