In the Summer of 2019, Boris Johnson MP won the Conservative Party Leadership contest. He became Prime Minister on 24th June.
This followed Theresa May’s decision to step down from being Prime Minister on 7th June. She resigned after her failure to manage the Brexit process and get her Withdrawal Agreement through Parliament three times.
